From a cold start
to a warm vision
Tin Wong
MuCase founder
Mu Case was born from a personal journey — one that began when Tin Wong, a classically trained violinist, moved to Toronto. Coming from a milder climate, he quickly noticed how sudden temperature drops and extreme winter humidity shifts could affect not just his daily life, but the condition of his most trusted companion: his violin.
One winter night in Toronto, after an impromptu practice session at a friend’s home, Tin returned home and accidentally left his violin in the car, parked outside in the freezing cold. By the time he realized the next morning, the panic had already set in.
He can still recall the moment he opened the closed case, the dread, the hesitation, and the fear that the sudden temperature drop had damaged the instrument he cherished most. Thankfully, the violin was unharmed. But the experience planted a lasting idea: What if a case could alert you before it’s too late? What if it could sense, track, and protect, even in silence?
From that question, Mu Case was born, a solution that bridges performance and protection. With design that listens and technology that learns, Mu Case empowers musicians to protect what they play and play how they feel, no matter where they are.
